Joana is an associate at BMA.
She finished her law degree at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra, in June 2008.
In March 2010, she began her collaboration with the law firm António Montalvão Machado & Associados.
In October 2010, she finished her master of laws, in company law area, at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Coimbra. Subsequently she has been admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association.
In October 2010, she began her collaboration with the law firm Telles de Abreu & Associados, where she stayed, as a trainee and as an associate lawyer, since November 2013 until March 2018.
During 2017, she completed a post-graduation in Intellectual Property Rights at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Oporto, and attended an intensive summer course promoted by the Portuguese Intellectual Law Association, at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa.
Joana has been developing her activity advising and acting on behalf of companies and individuals in litigation in the field of industrial property, civil law, commercial law and company law.
