Cláudia is Of Counsel at BMA


Cláudia provides legal advice and represents clients in litigation across various areas, including Civil, Commercial, Corporate, Insolvency and Business Restructuring, Employment, Criminal, Banking, and Financial Law.

She earned her Law degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lisbon in 2010, obtained a Master's degree in 2014, and completed her Ph.D. in Law in 2024.

Alongside her legal practice, she has built a distinguished academic career as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon since 2011, teaching courses such as Civil Procedure Law I, II, and III, General Theory of Civil Law, Introduction to the Study of Law, and Property Law.

She has been a Researcher at the Private Law Research Center (CIDP) of the same institution since 2014.

An author of several publications in Civil Law and Civil Procedure, her notable works include The Proof of Subjective States in Civil Procedure (Almedina, 2016) and the Annotated Civil Code (edited by Ana Prata, Almedina, 2017-2024).

Before joining BMA, Cláudia was an Associate Lawyer at Sérvulo & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, RL, and CMS – Rui Pena & Arnaut. She also served as Coordinator of the Litigation Group at Macedo Vitorino and practiced law independently.

She is a frequent speaker at postgraduate courses, conferences, and seminars in the fields of Civil Procedure, Arbitration, Insolvency, and Data Protection.
