Paulo Monteverde to Moderate MARQUES Annual Meeting Opening Session

We are delighted to share that, next week, Paulo Monteverde will be moderating the opening session of the MARQUES Annual Meeting in Lisbon, “Brand Evolution: Culture, Collaboration and Prevention”.
Culture shapes brands and creates lasting value, and that is precisely the premise behind this discussion.
The session will explore how preventive IP strategies can support stronger brand development by bringing legal thinking into the creative process from the outset. It will also address cultural appropriation in branding, the protection of heritage-inspired elements, and collaborations between geographical indications and trade marks, including Portuguese examples of how tradition can become a responsible competitive advantage.
